Lol, remember when Tyreese cheated on Carol with Michonne? TWD comics are actually a soap opera.

Every day I find new ways of writing ‘your email was so full of spelling and grammar mistakes I literally have no idea what you just asked me, please clarify.’

It’s a gift.

That last line, seriously. One of my biggest pet peeves in the glee fandom.

The author isn’t dead. Despite what we like to pretend. And it’s not just Glee fandom. This is the argument all fandoms fall back on when they don’t want to talk about the real reasons they don’t like something. Not only is it a lazy argument, it’s an egocentric one. Why do you assume your sentiments are the only valid ones? And honestly, it’s not the job of writers and artists to morally educate children.

You know what tires me somewhat? How people are always on about ‘what kind of message is [insert writer name here] by writing about [insert plotline here] when they disagree with a character’s believes and/or decisions. And I realize media doesn’t exist in a vacuum and that it absolutely should be closely examined and critiqued. But it’s so difficult to write complicated and interesting stories and characters if all we’re worried about is being responsible in our storytelling. Most writers are more focused on telling the stories of particular characters according to the character’s particular idiosyncrasies, and exploring how they arrive at the decisions they do rather than worrying about whether those decisions were the ‘morally right’ ones.

And it’s complicated because, once they’re out there, fictional characters end up representing more than themselves when people identify with their stories. But still, most times when an author writes something they’re not necessarily concerned with the universal experience. There’s a reason why most novels of ideas end up being boring.

Anyway, this was a very wordy way of saying that I wish people would stop assuming every word that comes out of a character’s mouth is a direct reflection of the author’s feelings.

I need to know when the Glee Crossover thing is doing zombies because I have an extremely detailed summary of a TWD AU I will never write that I want to post and talk about.

Comic Andrea vs. Beth Greene

(Not just the facial scar but, Beth looks more like Andrea than Andrea did.)
